Photocopiers/MFP's and Printers
Photocopiers and printers are often purchased based on their "headline" price. Although at first this seems very cost effective, many people fail to take into account the total running costs. Once purchased you will have tied yourself into buying specific consumables that are often comparatively very expensive. Replacement inkjets or toner cartridges often cost as much, or even more, than the original cost of the printer throughout it's life. With copiers and laser printers there are also other components used in the printing process that have a finite lifetime and will need replacing from time to time, depending on how much the printer/copier is used.
